I kept throwing clothes on a chair that I didn't want to wash after wearing once. And frequently worn clothes are handier! !
I had two white shelves hanging round the house, I stacked them together, my hubby removed the top of one so it wouldn't look silly, and used it as another shelf!
Added a wooden back, and top trim of wood that would be strong enough to hold hooks.
Added a flea market basket to each side, I use them for my hair blower and brushes... but you could use them for belts, fuzzy socks, whatever!
Handy!
Hooks close to wall are great for belts, etc...
Hooks for tank tops and pjs.
Back of organizer for sweaters I wear on occasion.
Oh! Did I mention its on castors now too?!?
left side close to closet for belts, shirts not ready for wash, etc...
Suggested materials:
  • 1/4" plywood   (I had it on hand. Plywood available for under 20$)
  • Castors   (I hand these too... these are from those plastic drawer shelves you get from canadian Tire, Walmart, etc... didn't want the wheels on them.)
  • Baskets   (Flea market)

    Brilliant! Sylvie,

I can see this in a home office/guest room or craft/guest room. . When in use as craft/office the book case side serves as bookcase/storage. Guest coming??? roll

a 180...hang the hooks on 3 sides. They are mounted/hung on boards as your picture shows. NOW... guest has a place to hang clothes and the lovely baskets serve as their handy catch-all. AND your books/supplies are private.
