They are miracle workers for storing bulky items
Roll it up into as small a roll as possible, put it in a large contractor's lawn bag (if it will fit), squeeze the top of the bag around the vacuum hose. Turn on the vacuum and suck as much of the air out as possible. When you get to where nothing is being sucked out and before you burn up the vacuum, stop the vacuum, remove the bag opening without letting air in and tie it off.
