How to organize shoe boxes?

Plastic shoe boxes are taking over my bedroom. Help.

This is a tough one! First, need more info. Do you live in a house or apartment? Can you reorganize any closet / alcove / odd space to stack them all neatly in one area? How many shoes are we talking about? How about a storage ottoman at the foot of your bed and placing them in there? How about under your bed? You can easily make a sliding "tray" from cardboard from any home improvement store. Can some shoes be doubled or tripled up? Like flip flops, summer sandals? Maybe over the door shoe pockets? Hope this gets your creative juices flowing! Also try looking on Pinterest for cool ideas too. Good luck!

This might be obvious, but a quick space saver with shoes is to put several pairs in the same box. Good luck

You can cut off an end and stack them up in a tower. with an end cut off you can still slide out the shoes when you need them.

  If you do this , it might be a good idea to glue them together and anchor them from behind somehow , just so there is no tragic shoe avalanche lol.
