Organizing this table

Melanie
by Melanie
I have a table next to my bed. I use everything that's on it and there r no more free drawer space in my nite stand or dresser and no more room for any more furniture. I need to find some way to turn this table into a flat top storage table. I'm thinking along the lines of 1.hanging saddle bags or 2. Baby changing table. Any suggestions excepted graciously.
It's a mess. I try to keep useless stuff off of it. I have nowhere to put the stuff so it's still handy but out of the way. Help!!!

I can't tell if this is against a wall, from the picture it appears it isn't? If it can be then maybe you could hang some shelves above it. I have read going vertical for storage in small spaces is the best way to have a less cluttered look and have more storage. Is there no other place like a medicine cabinet or under bathroom sink for the medicine, deodorant etc.. I don't know what the table is made of but you could maybe screw in eye hooks and use them to hang baskets underneath or even on the sides of the table? Also I have seen over the sink shelves sold cheap at walmart and family dollar that could sit on the table top to give you more options on stacking things on the shelf and then under it too... There are so many options out there I am sure that would help you make this more accessible but it can get overwhelming when your staring at it daily and lose a vision on where to even begin. I am having the same issues at my house too lol Good luck and I would love to know what you decide new ideas are always so helpful =)

I agree with Nikki. But I'm thinking if you made a small bookcase to either sit on this table or attach to the top of this table, you could put it anywhere! And your basket is attractive but that in itself takes up space so maybe something with less weight to it. Hope this helps!

Ty for responding but sadly no, it's in the middle of the room and there is no wall space and my sister and brother in law r rather picky about their walls.

Can you attach some shoe storage in fabric on each side of that table? Like that, you could store some things in it. if you could hang 4 of them (made on lenght) or something like that

I was looking at the shoe thing . I could cut into 3 sets of two and hang on cup hooks under the table. There's an idea I can mull around for awhile thanks

I would either build a small 2-4 shelf or boy one at the container store. I think I remember seeing them at Hobby lobby too

How about replacing the table with a small desk that has draws

An interesting dilemma for sure. I like the 'shoe thing' idea. Is there room for any shelving/drawer unit under the table? Or a shelving set up that can be attached to the table itself? Could the table be replaced with a different style of table/desk? I wish I could take a picture of a drawing I made as I imagined what added shelving would look like. :) Good luck with this either way. :)

Would a small microwave cart fit in the space? Most have a drawer, a shelf, and wheels for portability. Decoration ideas unlimited.

I believe I have found a solution to my lack of space on my table. It's an over the door ,4 pouch, canvas , organizer. It looks like it will be perfect for my needs but thanks to the community for all your really good suggestions. Ya'll r truly an inventive bunch. Thanks again
