I bought a small silverware set that came in a tray. I already had a tray so I used the one from the new silverware for make up. You can find them at any thrift store, or buy little adjustable size office dest organizers for drawers at walmart or office sores.
I can offer one tip: Separate items in your makeup drawer into small open containers like boxes, cups, bowls, tins, baskets or a combination of all. All your brushes in a pretty basket. All your tweezers in a crystal vase. A plastic box for your makeup pencils, a tin for your nail polish. I hope this helps!
I use small boxes that gifts came in. Both the bottom and the top of the boxes are good for this purpose. If you want, you can cover them or line them or both with contact paper or fabric and glue.
Utensil trays
dollar tree (a huge train of dollar stores in the US) has a whole section of tiny baskets! That is what I used to organize my makeup before buying my giant train case that I have now.
you can also try utensil trays
I bought an inexpensive make up holder similar to the photo to set on my counter. If you do not have space on the counter, you can also buy drawer organizers. If it were me today though, I would hang a wire or basket organizer on the wall where it is handy but frees up the counter as well as a drawer. Shop in the bathroom section of your department store for shower organizers or bathroom wall organizers. I am sure you will find something that will fit your need. Hope this helps
Take the drawer out of the cabinet. Take everything out of it. Wash it. Paint it if it’s raw wood so it’s easier to clean the next time. Measure the interior - side to side and end to end. Check the dollar store for organizers that fit, if they don’t have anything find something on line - LOTS of sources!
Then get rid of all the old stuff, the makeup you never liked and the dirty, icky stuff.
if this is your “every day” make up drawer just reload with - your every day makeup!
keep special occasion makeup in another place Out of your way.
I bought the plastic drawer organizers, for panties and such. They look like diamond shapes when you lock them together. I cut them to fit my makeup basket--works great!
