Our new condo doesn’t have a garage but it has a storage closet. I would like to make it portable so I can use the tools as I need the but switch them out easily when I need to.

Is the storage closet attached to one of the outside walls, or is it part of the interior floor plan of the condo? What are the dimensions of the closet? Is there an electrical plug nearby to where the closet is?

A cabinet with good solid top mounted on a base with heavy duty casters will give storage plus portability. This would be similar to hubby's tool box with work top.

I would be looking to create a storage unit on casters that can be moved easily. you could start with a cabinet base, add a small bookshelf on top replacing the backboard of the shelving unit with peg board to hang your tools. You could also create a fold down workspace on the sides of your base cabinet using plywood and piano hinges and locking leg hardware

I found a large metal cart at an antique auction, I use for my crafting/tools - totally portable!
