What to do with this extra space my bedroom?
I have a bedroom under dormers (attic style walls) & extra floor space. How do I make this room warm and cozy. Should I use a rug and/or chair? Room measures 196in x 122in

two seats near each other with something like a small table between makes a cozy spot , maybe a lamp to read and have coffee, and yes a small area rug adds to the feeling. Plants always make an area feel homey. We had a small sitting room off our master bathroom and used it for a combination library books and sitting room. I always felt relaxed there and loved reading and facing to one of our windows to look out side also. Whatever feels relaxing to you (for me it was books and a comfortable chair) is your best bet for a comfy corner/space. Colors, texture, and hobbies you love or objects with special meaning from the past. Hope this helps you steer your course on your room.
Thank you for the great ideas, they certainly help.
Hi Diverchic,
It turns out that sloping ceilings are quite an archetectural advantage, especially in bedrooms because they can make a very cozy space indeed. Here's many ideas for you. I think the canopy bed under the sloping ceiling would be really chic. You can also add a lot of charm with the lighting. Try Amazon for a multitude of supplies.

Wow! didn't think of Pinterest! Thank you for the tip, also very helpful!
Yes rugs, nice wing back chair with lamp next to it,or nice bench with inside storage at foot of your bed, maybe small electric heater with fake fireplace in front. You could even get one that looks like a cast iron stove & they do not get hot on the outside so it could be used as side table too. They come in an array of nice colors(something bright for your space blue, yellow, red), are extremely efficient for added heat source, economical & very safe(Try QVC.com for good pricing). I have one I use inside my fireplace instead of burning wood & having to deal with the clean-up. Maybe some easy care houseplants by the windows.
Awesome ideas! Thank you😊
