Pretty Princess Bedroom

2 Materials
2 Days

This Airbnb condo close to Walt Disney World received a makeover that took one of the rooms from plain to Princess filled!

Before Photo:

Here's the room we were starting with. The decor was bland and boring. The comforter was dark, but the furniture was actually ok. The room just needed a little life and fun injected into it.

Here's how it looked after just 2 days of work and not too much money! Below are the steps we took to put it together.

the easiest and most impactful change in the room came about with the princess mural. It was a peel and stick wallpaper and you can see in the photo above how easily the wallpaper peels off the backing. Then you just stick it to the wall. So easy!!

Fun details:

This room isn't very big, so it's important to make the most out of every space and fun to provide an unexpected surprise. Just a little spray glitter on the light cover and a Tinkerbell decal give a cute touch. It's almost as if Tink landed on the switchplate and her fairydust turned it glittery.

Using what's already in the room:

This mirror looked out of place before, but just by adding this decal, it became a "magic mirror". So, look at the objects you already have and see how you can use them and save money on your room transformation.

Play with color:

Above you see the room with a pale green comforter, but you can see here how much it changes when we mix it up with a bright yellow comforter. Don't be afraid to add some bold pops of color.

In our Disney Airbnb condo we also changed the flooring to luxury vinyl plank flooring that looks like wood. It was an easy click and lock system. It isn’t necessary for the room makeover, but we felt like it was a great touch for this room.
