Most people don't think about using Rev-a-shelf for storage. these pull out metal drawers make it easy to store a lot and have it accessible. Pull the shelf out and whats in the back of the drawer without pulling everything out. There are also corner metal racks meant for cabinets that can be worked into a closet Look at some of these https://ideastand.com/kitchen-corner-cabinet-storage-ideas/ I recommend Rev a shelf only because they can be popped off their slides for easy cleaning. I use the space under them for my cookie sheets. This only works if you have a wooden shelf under the drawer. But just an idea

Have an old house. The closets have baseboards that are quite high and thick. I placed a board across to have 2 levels for shoes at the bottom. The shelves go around the three walls over the rod. Your closet is quite deep like mine. I added old fashioned hooks for extra hanging behind the rod and in front of it on both sides. Also put those plastic deals for shoes on the back of the door.

Put in high shelves up on the wall all the way around and you can keep seasonal clothes and things that aren't used very often up their. I had some in a walk in closet and they came in very handy. Me, a short stuff, had a four step ladder in the closet and I could just grab things off of it. I used the vacuum type bags for seasonal clothes that I kept up their so they would be clean and ready to use when needed.

Mine had closet rods on all three sides as well as shelves on all three sides. I had hooks on the walls on each side of the door for hanging night clothes, belts, etc. I used a few of them to hide things like some Christmas presents and other small things in cloth bags behind the hanging clothes on hooks. They were also good for hanging purses. I used the plastic shoe boxes that were clear to put shoes in stacks on the floor of the closet under the clothes. For larger shoes and boots I had a Rubbermaid bin. If you want corner shelves, you could make some in the configuration you need out of plywood and paint them the wall color. If you have the room, chest of drawers make good ways to store a lot of clothes and other things in a closet. I hope this helps you. Have a great holiday season!
