I hate my mirrored sliding closet doors and I need ideas
My husband and I each have a closet and they are mirrored. I hate them. (1970s) What can I do with them?
big box diy carry sheets of metal, picked a piece up for behind the stove, was renting at that time and I could count 50 holes in that wall. I’ve also seen the the garage type panels there.
I'd say, Menards or Home Depot would be good places to start. There are some cool designs on the metal like car/garage theme (I can't think of the name of the pattern right now). Anyway measure how much you want & I'm sure they could even cut it to size for you & have them drill the holes in the corners for your screws & there are really pretty shiny/fancy screws too. Or another idea (if you don't want holes in the doors) is a vinyl applique (or there are wall papers). I've seen things at the automotive store for decorating like man caves etc. Have you seen all of the cool shelves they are making with piping? Research DYI industrial shelves & they say it doesn't cost that much when you get the supplies at the Home Depot type stores. And again they would cut the shelving the lengths you desire & help you with the proper hardware for mounting them. What a neat idea for your teenager Son's room. Go for it!
There are hundreds of wall decals at various price points that would go with your theme, available on eBay. Here are two examples.
Just a thought but maybe metal roofing material?
I looked at those at Lowe’s but didn’t think they would work
