I would paint it a darker color, which surprisingly will make it seem larger. If possible, I would hang a decorative mirror across from the window to give more depth to the space. Use coordinated linens and decorative items in no more than three colors, with one color being most prominent and the other colors adding up to about 30% of the total color. Hope this helps. You can get a really pretty effect in a small space.
