When I moved into my house 2 years ago most of the windows were missing screens or they had holes in them. I had ordered three on line and with shipping they cost me over 100 dollars, so I decided to make my own and it really simple.

I just measured my old screens, and went to homedepot and brought this Aluminum screen kit along with screen material and got to work.

I then cut to measurement the four Aluminum rods using my electric saw.

I then followed the directions and used the corner pieces to connect the rods and added the springs on what would be the side of the window screen.

these are the springs you have to insert them in the rod corners before you connect them

I then pulled out the black rubber that will hold the screen in the frame, and measured and cut the screen material.

I then placed the bottom screen pulls in the grove where the black rubber goes and placed screen material on top.

I then used this tool that came with the screen material to roll in place the rubber back into the groove to hold the screen material securely.

I then trimmed the excess screen material, and all done.

perfect fit, and cost half the price then the ones I ordered online.
