How can I make barn doors suitable for a bathroom?

I would like to make two barn doors as sides to my walk in shower and wasn't sure if I needed special wood or could just use pine and make sure it is clear coated very well.

If you don't mind clear coating annually, I would go ahead and do it.... be sure to put extra coats on the cut ends which are porous and will absorb water resulting in mold.
You should be fine with regular pine but if you think you might have moisture issues, you can purchase pressure treated. Make sure it cures and then seal it.
Eventually the shower doors will accumulate soap splash residue, towel lint, hair, and dust. It might be hard to keep them clean and sanitized.
How robust of a ceiling fan do you presently in the bathroom, and how often do you give it a thorough cleaning?
Something else I was thinking about - is there a ceiling light inside the shower?
Solid pine doors, compared with other materials such as clear glass, will make it a lot darker inside the shower.
Use Helmsman Spar Urethane to seal the wood.
