I'm a big fan of using curtains as closet doors... just put a tension curtain rod up and then hang a curtain. No power tools necessary!
Have you thought of possibly a above closet track and a lightweight barn door that slides back and forth? It becomes a piece if art interest in a plain room and they are not terribly hard to install. A simpler solution is to buy a tension rod that will fit your measurements from interior side to side then buy fabric or curtains to match your decor.
