Wanted to change the pantry to a sliding door but one large door wasn't an option. Cute and super easy way to change out the door. (We turned ours around too but this project is really about giving you an idea on the door). Hopefully, this will inspire some of you to get creative with your pantry doors.
This was our pantry. It was like walking into a closet to reach the 2 foot wide shelves at the back. Didn't make much sense to me and was a waste of valuable storage space in the kitchen.
Here's another angle. The pantry is behind the wall with the pictures on it.
Not the best picture but you can see that we are opening a new door for the pantry and turning it the opposite direction -among other things in the kitchen.
Here it is turned around and I now have 5 shelves that are each 5 feet long plus space for bulk items on the floor.
Now we added some sliding barndoor hardware and a bi-fold closet door that I took apart.
Even added a light inside!
Finally added some handles and decor to the walls and it's done! Love all the extra storage now too.
