If you are lacking in space and want a garden for succulents, herbs or flowers, just grab yourself a pallet and let the creative juices flow!

I had this pallet on hand that I have repurposed a few times and I finally decided I needed a permanent home for her. Since she was already painted I just hand sanded some rough spots and she was ready to go. Or was she? I still felt like she needed a little something.

So, I picked up this Sharpie oil based paint marker in white and scoured the interwebs for a nice quote or phrase. To my joy, I found one that was appropriate for both the plants that I would put in it as well as give me a confidence boost every time I pass by, and who couldn't use that?

The marker goes on pretty smoothly but you can see I made a little mistake with placement. Luckily the paint sands off pretty easy and whats left won't really show in the finished piece.

Now I started selecting the plants. For me, its succulents. I am a succi fanatic and they are everywhere in my yard. One thing about succulents though is there are so many varieties, it is impossible (at least for me) to keep track of them so I literally tape the little tags that come with them, on to the plastic cups they come in.

Then I drop them right into the pallet as is!

And thats it! Super easy and because succulents need minimal watering and ample drainage, you don't even need bases under the plant cups. Just water the top ones and it flows all the way through to the bottom.

UPDATE...and thanks to the observant eyes that spotted my spelling error. I've fixed it as best as I could. 😊

I was wondering how much sun they need? Cause my back yard gets the most sun than the front. Thank you...
