Are shoes cluttering your foyer, mud room, or back hallway? This Adjustable Shoe Storage Bench can help solve the clutter and add a spot to sit down while dealing with your kicks! It holds 4 to 6 pairs of shoes per shelf depending upon your kiddo to adult ratio of shoes. The bench has an adjustable shelf that can be moved up and down about 5 inches. It's a great solution to clean up the pile of shoes dominating your foyer or mud room! For a full project build walkthrough and downloadable plans, go to the post link at the bottom.
The base is made from 3/4" plywood with 1x2 trim. First cut the plywood pieces
Cut about a bazillion pocket holes and connect the bottom, back and sides.
Attach with glue, brad nails and screws from the inside.
Build a shelf out of a sheet of 3/4" ply and trimmed with a pieces of 1x2 . Now all that's left is the top, trim and a bunch of painting
Trim out the sides with cove beads and attach with brad nails.
Build a top of your choosing. I used walnut for mine.
Fill all the nail holes, prime and paint the base then attach the top with screws from underneath. Now put it in your foyer and show those shoes who's boss! For a full project build walkthrough and free downloadable plans, go to the post link below.

Would look great in cherry opposite a stained pendulum clock in the foyer.
