Some DIY projects are easier, some are more difficult to make. In this case, I would say that creating the dining table is relatively easy task if you have all the necessary tools and materials. This project is definitely not the most complicate, if you know what and when to do

Saw the wood timber in pieces. You will need to have:

  • 4 equal-length pieces for table legs
  • 1 long timber bar with the length of the desired table
  • 1 long timber bar with the length of the desired table + width of the table legs
  • 2 long timber bars for the long sides
  • 2 short timber bars for the short sides
  • a lot of timber for the tabletop

Cutout the grooves for the legs at the desired angle to assemble crossed legs.

Repeat it with each leg.

Assemble the legs

Connect the legs with a long middle bar

Assemble the frame of the table top

Strengthen the tabletop frame construction with middle bar

Layout the tabletop with the desired pattern. We used herringbone pattern.

Cut out all the loose ends

Frame the sized with a thin layer of wood to make the surface even

Polish the surface of the table to make it smooth and nice.
