DIY Headboard Build and Finish

Needed a headboard for a Queen bed. Wanted to try and build one myself and use some staining/waxing techniques I’ve seen on Hometalk and other internet sites. I had some Headboard cushions that I came across at Aldi’s, that was the inspiration for the idea.
Took measurements from bed frame and cut boards to size using miter saw.
Took panel board and cut you fit. Glued it and weighed it down to dry. then flipped and added small nails for support.
I placed the headboard cushions inside framing and cut boards to fit between them. I glued the, then later flipped and added nails for support.
I stained the frame using an aged grey then glued the cushions in place.
I added some lighter grey chalk paint for more contrast, then began adding wax.
I started with dark antiquing wax, then followed with white. I finished with clear wax after I had achieved a look I was happy with.
