I LOVE round tables! It’s makes conversation and drinking games so much easier😃😀 Check out how I recently built this one.

I first picked out my oak boards and cut them to 5’.

Then I glued them up to get at least 5’ wide since I was going for that size circle.

Once it’s glued up, I used a router jig by Rockler. It makes cutting round tops super easy!

I then sanded down and wood filled the table top and ordered an oak base.

I used 3 different spray paints to create a copper look for this base.

This was after a few rounds of copper, dark brown and blue. I really am happy with the finished result.

I alternated between golden oak and red oak stains between boards for a different look. When I wiped it off, it was a nice, subtle change.

We tried out some different styled chairs.

Time for those dinner parties🙌🏼🙌🏼 I love how it came out! Check out more of what I do on my Instagram account @ sawdustandwhiskey or on my Facebook page- Sawdust & Whiskey

Is just gluing the planks together going to be strong enough long term? I was expecting them to be screwed together with pocket holes. Also I never did see the part about how the top is attached to the base. I'm curious. icon

I never use pocket screws for table glue ups. I make sure the wood is 6-8% moisture and the glued seem is stronger than the wood. I cut a circle piece of plywood, attached it to the base then screwed that into the top 🙌🏼
