I built this for a friend who was fixing up a house to sell. He wanted an Island in the kitchen but wanted it larger than most you can buy. The top is 64" X 40" with two drawers and two doors on one side. The two ends have three adjustable shelves and the back side has a 12" overhang to put three barstools under.
Top made from 1" thick oak boards with second layer of boards around edges to make the edge 2" thick.
Sanding the top after the boards are glued and dry.
