I've been wanting to make this for a few months now, and I finally was able to make it! And well I think it came out very nice, it can be used as an entry table or a small kitchen island! Here's how I made it:
I started my project out by cutting all of the wood pieces I needed.
My husband helped me to get it started, I think we make a good team!
We got the bottom shelf together and framed the top part, for the wood slats which will serve as the shelves.
As you can see the top shelf is now being placed. It's coming along well.
Almost there...
Once all the pieces were placed, I then got it ready for painting.
I decided to paint the the base and leave the wood slats un painted. It has a lovely farmhouse look. I'm glad I was finally able to make this lovely piece!
After it was dry, I decided to distress it!! I think it was a good decision, what do you think!! I love it- my new kitchen island/table!
