DIY kitchen buffet

I would like to build a kitchen buffet measuring about 18" deep, 5 ft. tall, 50 " wide. I want doors on the bottom shelf, like a cabinet, and shelves on the top section that are open to the wall. I think it is called a buffet, but maybe I have the wrong word. Even if I can find a piece that measures like that, and has a cabinet section on the bottom, please suggest ways to do a make over. I would like it a natural walnut finish. Thank you for any suggestions you send me.

Check out a habitat store for top mount kitchen cabinets. Use those for the base. If you need extra height you can make a simple base or add legs (big wood balls meant for staircase railings would work well). For the open shelves-just put up shelves. If you want them to appear "attached" to the base, use a bookcase, Paint it all in a nice chalk paint. Paint has a wonderful way of making separate parts look cohesive. Good luck!!!
