Is there anyone that has the manual/instructions for assembly/disassembly? I saw one thread on this, but don't know if the instructions were ever given. Help please!

Thank you Denise for the effort with the youtube link. I am in need of the assembly instructions for an entertainment center/wall unit by a company called Ello (now out of business). The actual wall unit was called the "curtain call"--as the mirrors in the picture of the wall unit I attached slide open and closed like a set of "curtains" to hide or reveal the television inside. I am hoping someone has the instructions for this wall unit they'd be willing to share. I'd certainly be willing to pay postage/copying fees.

Try contacting a company that used to sell Ello. There's always a chance that an employee bought a unit or they may have old paperwork laying around. http://uniqueinteriors.com/blog/?p=331

Try posting a query on Houzz http://www.houzz.com/discussions

http://uniqueinteriors.com/aboutus/ Contact this store or the owners....Bob and Kathy Deniken. They used to sell the Ello curtain. Maybe they can help.

Thanks Julies1949 and Brenda Wright. Prior to posting here for help, I contacted pretty much all the retailers that sold Ello products and no one had any instructions. In doing so, I was hoping that perhaps as a service to their clients, post sale, that instructions were kept on file in the event that clients move, redecorate, etc.--to no avail. In posting here and on houzz, I am hoping that a person (as in an owner or someone that knows of an owner) of this unit (I cannot be the only one on the planet to have purchased this unit)LOL may have the instructions. I am certainly willing to pay copying costs/postage, etc.

@Ruslzplace Hi, thanks again. Yes, since the manufacturer is out of business, and the retailers have nothing on file and they had no one to refer me to, I contacted the original Ello installers that did the unit and they don't have anyone that does this anymore (again referring to the fact that Ello is out of business). So then I contact other installers/people that put together units, shelves, etc. - these are the people I referenced in an earlier post that are stumped by how this thing was put together. Unfortunately, these are the reasons why I am posting the need for the written instructions, so that someone (an installer, former contractor, etc.) can use them in order to disassemble and reassemble this unit. It appears that Ello put together their units in a way that is significantly different than other entertainment centers, which is why no one seems to be able to do this without the written manual. This is why I need an owner or someone that knows of an owner of an Ello unit to share a copy of the written instructions. I do want to thank you again for trying to brainstorm with ideas and solutions though.

Valier Leonard, thank you very much. I monitor for responses to this on a daily basis, so I am still here! The Ello wall units are complex. I've tried hiring people who put together wall units/shelving, etc. for a living and what I've encountered is that they are stumped without instructions specific to this unit. So any the help with this is much, much appreciated.

I think a high-end home theater/audio gear place, not a chain store, might have seen something along those lines and be able to take it down or give you general guidelines (like take the top part off first, or whatever) [@Brenda Wright - someone like Ovation]. If they haven't themselves, they could get in contact with people in that industry or maybe give you a list to try contacting them. What are you planning on doing with it? If you're going to sell it or give it away - let the next person take it down and out. I keep wondering if it doesn't have a fairly decent value to someone looking at a Hollywood Regency sort of design even though I don't think it's exactly that style. Ask one of the interior designers who advertise in the D..C. coffee table magazine. Maybe a glass shop would be able to do something with it, at least get rid of the mirrors and glass safely if you really think it can only go to the dump. A reciprocating saw could be the way to go. Do they still have shop in high school, could be a project for the mechanical arts class LOL - like you want a bunch of teenagers hanging around your home.

Lori Harmon-Thanks for the great suggestions! I'm not selling it or anything like that. I need to have it disassembled in order for other home projects to get tackled and then reassembled when the projects are done. I believe it is more in the Art Deco style, but with all the mirroring has Hollywood Regency leanings! Thanks again!!!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I was able to get a hold of one of the people that ran installation coordination for a high end furniture shop in MD that used to also assemble these units. It is important that if you own one of these Ello wall units, that the person who assembles/disassembles it, definitely have experience and familiarity with how these were constructed. Wanted to come back, close the loop and leave the info for anyone in the Wahsington, DC metro area that may need help with their Ello unit. The person's name is Bill Cudahy and with his permission I will leave email contact info. Just so the internet spam bots don't barrage his inbox: installedbybill(at)aol(dot)com HTH!

I am trying to find instructions on how to disassemble a Curtain Call unit. Based on threads from 2015, it looks like someone was successful. Any line on a .pdf version of a manual?
