How can I hang a headboard made out of insulation foam board?

I made a headboard for my king size bed out of insulation foam board. I covered it with material and tried hanging it with velcro and like a picture with wire on the back. But it always falls down. I'm to the point I have given up and just let it stand behind the bed....but then the top of the window I am trying to cover up show.

Try French cleat hangers. Home Depot carries them.
You could use a covered button on the material side to anchor the wire. Poke a hole for the wire to go through, take it through the button and back out again to the backside.
Did you use heavy duty Velcro? I also like to use a French cleat to hang mirrors, large pictures and even headboards! How would i attach to the foam board?
I made a band of 1" matching fabric more than long enough to pin all along bottom & sides . Then made a loop at either end top corner and hung it on two nails on the wall. Hope it helps you out.
