How do I attach a DIY carved wood headboard to my metal bed frame?
We found a beautifully carved heavy wood Spanish Style headboard in a pile of disgarded wood on a vacant lot . We cleaned it up and used a good oil to show the wood grain and preserve it's beauty. Right now it rests against the wall
at the head of our bed. How do I attach it to a metal bed frame to have it more stable?

You might want to attach it to the studs in your wall instead if you’re not at frequent rearranger.
I would attach it to the wall so that it is solid and does not move.

Our wooden headboard is held in place by the bed pushed up against it on the wall....never considered screwing it to the bed frame....but the idea of attaching it to the wall is a good one.
Thank you for the visual-it makes sense .
Look up French cleats to attach it to the wall instead. You can make it yourself with wood, or buy a metal one online.
