How can I make an easy table base for an oval glass top table?
Does anyone have an idea of what can be used as a base for an oval glass top of a cocktail table. I hate to throw away a perfectly good piece of glass.

Cut a piece of 5/8-3/4” plywood to match the shape, with a skull saw and screw legs into the underside.
Legs can be had for as little a $5 each.
Finish the plywood any way you want.
There are many grades of plywood, including hardwood veneer, so you’ll want to take some time to see what matches your budget & aesthetic choices.

Hi Denise!
My first suggestion is to shop thrift stores! You can find all kinds of interesting things that can be repurposed - and you can get them for a great deal! Lamps are some of my favorite bases for projects (visit my blog for some inspirational ideas).
A second idea is a sturdy basket or bin that could double as storage.
Get creative and think outside the box...you'll have a gorgeous table like no other!
Best wishes!

There are lots of things that will work. Not knowing your style I wouldn't want to guess. But I did find this that gives a list of ideas. Hope it helps, and I know we would love to see your results.
