Cut the wall board out between to studs near to where you want your makeup station. Paint or line it with contact or wall paper. Put in as many shelves as you want, spaced the way you want. Build a "door" from lath and chicken wire or cloth. Or purchase a door that will fit. Good luck.
I love Linas answer. Use those spaces in your wall. We do.
They are 4” deep which is more than sufficient space to hold most anything but a very large bottle of listerine.
Measure your possible space. Consider going way up - toilet paper at the top could fit and lightweight enough to store up high comfortably.
Find an old medicine cabinet door that someone is tossing or an old window that fits your space Yet still has room for a hinge. Remove the appropriate amount of drywall to the “cover” you’ve found. You could even use a small “window shade” from close to the ceiling. Id hang it backward so it hung flush to the opening.
A simple shade could be decorated with markers to make you smile in the morning.
