I am planning something similiar. I purchased inexpensive twin size folding cots with foam mattress. I'm placing these folded beds against a wall and builting a "box" to hide the beds. But, there is no back to the box so when the box is turned around I can put the twin beds together (with a 2" queen foam to cover the crack). Soo, I now have an expensive murphy bed. I will need to latch the "box" on the wall to be sure it doesn't fall forward.
