How to make a shadow box table for outside?

I have a huge collections of shells, sea fans, starfish, etc. I want to purchase an old window for the top so that it will open/close to add or remove treasures. Not sure of what type of wood or how to build base. I know that I need to purchase old window first.

Use Pressure treated timber or Marine timber. - Maybe able to buy second- hand garden table that might do the trick that you could add too. Enjoy!
Very cool idea. You would have to protect it by making sure the clear caulk seals in the cracks. If you want the cracked old look of the windows maybe Polly over the windows to protect the paint.
I would not leave it outside all year depending on where you live. Snow may damage it over time.
