Hello Kathie, you can cut a 48" circle from some pressed board for the tabletop and use 2 x 2s cut to the same length to make the legs. The pressed board isn't the prettiest but no one will know if you add a table cloth.
Hi Kathie,
Here are plans for a version of a round table, more complicated than Michelle's, but could also work if you have boards handy.

You could cut the circle from a piece of plywood and add hairpin legs. You also may want to check your local sale sites like Marketplace. Tables come up for sale all the time.
Another idea: try your local buy and sell. I got a 48” table for $20 on there. You can make something for that cheap!

Round Dining Table Build With Only $300 in Tools and Materials
You can make a table base quickly by using plastic pipe aand plastic fittings vailable at home improvement stores. Then simply purchase a 48" round of pressed wood and place on the base. This can be disassembled easily and stored for another time.
You might also be able to some type of furniture the appropriate height and just add the 48" round. Enjoy!
it would be cheaper and easier to buy a round card table or square card table than making one I would think they have sturdy white round tables at Walmart, HomeDepot, Costco, etc

A pedestal with the table top mounted on it would be the best to accommodate for extra seating.
Easiest way is to go to a local thrift store buy a table and throw a table cloth over that.
Home Depot and Lowes sells round table tops, you can add legs or a pedestal. Stain with minwax and seal.
Hello I might consider purchasing a table round or making one….and putting it on a folding table
If you want a "quick" set up, do you know someone with a round patio table? Throw a pretty cloth over top and you're done!
It might be easier and less expensive to check Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist (even their free section), or your local Buy Nothing group. If you build one, which you can do by cutting a big circle out of a sturdy material, just make sure the legs are sturdy so it doesn’t all fall apart on you.
Hi there Kathie! You can try cutting a 48" circle from a piece of wood, then just add hairpin legs. Or you can also buy from your local buy and sell.
