I want a 4 poster bed with cedar post what wood should I use for the sides? I’d like to have storage also. It has to hold 700 lbs and we are still sexually active he has broken 2 box springs and bent 2 metal frame beds. Please help with ideas.

You may have to start with with a heavy metal frame. As in coustom made frame. There are “bariactric” beds at hospital supply stores..you might try using 2 pushed up together. I know some models can hold 500 lbs.
If you are using cedar posts I would also use cedar for the sides and drawers. Look for construction plans for a storage bed with drawers on the sides. You may want to up the sturdiness of the wood pieces recommended to make sure it will manage your combined weights.

A water bed may work for the weight issue , the 4 posters, cannot be that difficult , a separate frame around the bed? I recently saw on this site making the 4 posters out of pool noodles, light weight.
