Concrete Countertops
Concrete counters are so pretty! You can color match when mixing the concrete. After is is dry you have to sand it down with various strength sand paper to get your desired smoothness. Look on YouTube - there is a lady that makes her concrete counters looks with grey marble! So beautiful
I am heavily considering a concrete countertop when I upgrade my kitchen. I have seen many where the installers polish it smooth so that it looks like marble or granite. And the cool thing is when they add glass bits.
Do you want instructions on doing one yourself or are you going to buy one already made?
Concrete countertops can be sanded well enough to become very smooth so they can be wiped with a sponge. They are often sealed so when they are wiped you're not dampening the concrete. There is an art to getting them the way you envision. Here's a link with good info to know before you decide to do it or not. Consider posting your project if you do it as many of us will be interested in how you did it and how it turned out.
