i need ideas to make an iPad/ tablet stand . Something basic , no major tools or construction. Or suggestions on something that I can upcycle to use as a stand

You could use a cookbook stand.
You could use an easel. I've seen metal ones at the dollar tree that would work. But I also found this article that has some cool and fairly simple ideas for a DIY stand:

you could look in thrift type stores and get maybe a TV tray or other little table that would work for a good price

Make a pillow about half full then prop it up on it. They sell them like that .you could also google stands to get ideas
