You can try and find a used headboard and refinish it by painting or staining, you can use an old door, you can stencil a headboard on the wall, you can install ship lap or tin tiles on the wall to act as a headboard, you can make your own headboard and either attach it to the frame or to the wall. The possibilities are endless!

I hung a pretty curtain rod, sewed a hem in a pretty coordinating fabric and shirred fabric on the rod. You could also use short store bought curtains on the rod.
