Make your own patio PVC furniture. Interested in making cool stuff out of PVC pipe? It's easy—if you have the right materials. The PVC pipe offered at home ...PVC unless you are in need of something heavy due to winds, etc. Less expensive and easier to handle while building the furniture. You can probably find lots of instructions if you google it.
The only bad thing about pvc is that it will flex under weight. If you are thinking of setting anything heavy like a plant on it, then black pipe would be more industrial. It's more expensive than pvc, but it also just screws together with various fittings. For ease of assembly, black pipe is much easier.
you need something with UV ultraviolet protection in the PVC, generally "irrigation" pipe has it, but not always. "schedule 40" is a thicker wall and better. the next part really depends on the "table" part, side table or eating table?? will define the size of the pipe. None of it is very structural, and bends under heat and weight conditions.
I use PVC out side it lasts much longer and can be updated with paint and stains
