Hi Evelyn,
What about a Side table or maybe a stool or a Box?
Hi Evelyn, you can attach a deep drawer or crate to the wall and place your DVD player inside it. If that's not an option here's a few more ideas that could inspire you - https://www.countryliving.com/home-design/decorating-ideas/g30770089/diy-bookshelf-ideas/
Here are some options from Amazon, scroll through and see if anything works for you. A lot of it depends on your personal taste and space available for it:

You could mount a shelf on the wall near the tv.
you can use a small table or other piece of furniture or even build a shelf to put it on if you want it on the wall
A shelf below the tv might work.
Something along these lines:

Or get a resting shelf that sits on the top of the television set.
A picture of what you have to work with would be handy.
A floating shelf would seem to solve that problem. I did see a home improvement show recently where the shelf directly below the tv was widened to provide extra room for the tv to sit on. Same basic idea should work for you.
Could you get a shelf with some open drawers to put below your TV?
Hi! A table or cabinet under the tv would give you the best location. Good luck!
Here's a post that might help https://tvwallmounting.ca/hide-dvd-player-with-wall-mounted-tv/
I built a floating wall cabinet which you can see here: https://www.flippingtheflip.com/2016/01/tv-wall-cabinet-shelf-console-thingie.html?m=1
If possible get a console table and use it as a shelf. If that is not possible, follow this tutorial for floating shelves.
