Are you going to put together or separate them? I wouldn't think you need anything to separate them.
Usually bunk beds can be unstacked and set apart as individual beds by lifting one off the other. No other hardware should be needed.
Hi Barbara! The bunk beds I've had could be separated. If yours is different, please post a picture.
A lot of the bunk bed sets are made to allow you to separate them when the kids grow out of wanting bunk beds or get their own rooms. For the others, you just may need to make something for the upper bunk to sturdy up and finish off the legs for sitting on the floor.
