Rope and an old tire.
Hi Lorie, its really all about what kinda swing you're looking for.
Rope and a hunk of wood!

When I was growing up, my uncle had a tractor tire hanging from a tree branch. I liked to curl up inside it. My brother and boy cousins liked to climb on top. My dad made the kind with a board. He put a hole in the center and threaded the rope through it and knotted it underneath. This one was great for spinning and swinging in circles. I can't even decide which one I enjoyed more.
The easiest is going to be a board and rope in the tree or a tire with a rope. Be sure you use a tree with sturdy branches.
You need a rope long enough to tie both ends to the branch. For a seat you can tie a tire OR use a 1 x 4 board about a foot long or 18 inches long, and notch both ends with a "v" shape or semi circle so the board stays on the rope
