Dents, use damp cloth and hot iron to steam out
Gouges use wood filler, then sand smooth, stain or paint
Splits or seperations, use Carpenter's glue, clamp tight to dry, wipe excess off before it dries
Loose veneer, use Carpenters glue, put wax paper on it, and put a weight on it to set
Dried out natural wood, try tung oil
