How to tell if a pallet is safe to use in the garden?

I have a pallet I would like to use to grow veggies in but it has no markings on it. Is there any way else to tell if it's been chemically treated?

does it look like it has a shine? if not id go with it

most ( if not all ) pallet are made with raw pine; they break down very quickly --- most old 'treated' wood has a greenish cast from the chemicals -- https://www.naturalhandyman.com/iip/infxtra/infptforraisedgardens.html new products used for ground contact lumber is safe
