Spring is here and I’m ready for the Small Garden Challenge! It’s been a long winter and looking at my small little window garden it shows. It needs a total overhaul.
I wanted to start with some beautiful flowers but with the crazy weather we’ve been having I needed something safe. Since this is how it looked out my window on April 30th!
So something safe, was what was coming up in my garden right now. Lucky for me I have plenty of wild strawberries. They will look great when they cascade over the side and will soon give me yummy sweet berries.
I also have an abundance of Forget- me-nots. So they will be the center of attention. Unfortunately they are not blooming yet so you will have to use your imagination.
Now my bunny has a place to hide while drinking from his watering rock. Watering rock? Well sure a mini water feature for a mini garden.
Next come the Chicken n‘ hen. They are hardy and give the little garden color and texture.

Along with a few fun characters, Mr. Bunny and his turtle friend I’ve added some well placed stones for interest and to keep the soil in place. I think we’re just about done.

Water and mist your flowers add a little flower food and wait for the bloom.
Fill your water feature and there is your AFTER. Makes me feel like spring was worth the wait!
