Simple and Rustic DIY Chalkboard-Painted Plant Pot

I love shopping for new pots for my plants, but it can be tough to find one that fits both my decor and my budget. So I dressed up a basic, bland clay pot into a cute and rustic (and cheap!) plant pot.
What you’ll need:
–A clay pot
–Chalkboard spray paint
–Some rope (I used about 3.5 yards, but the amount you’ll need will depend on the size of your pot and the thickness of your rope)
–Hot glue

To start, you’ll need to spray paint your pot and let it dry. It’s dry enough to touch within 15-20 minutes, but I let mine sit for a couple hours to make sure it was completely dry.
Then, once it’s dry enough, just start hot gluing your rope to the pot.
And then, ta-da! You have a rustic plant pot! The total cost for mine was about $12, but that’s because I didn’t have any of the supplies. The spray paint was about $8, the rope was $2, and the pot was $2, all from Michaels.
