Upcycled Planter Tutorial

2 Materials
Do you have pieces around your home or garage that you know can be repurposed into something better? I have many pieces that have a lot of potential and this Upcycled Planter Tutorial repurposes a small bench that has been hanging around in our garage for some time.
To make this planter, we started by tracing the tops of the pots on the top of the bench .
Then, we drilled a hole big enough to fit our jigsaw in.
We cut out the circles a little smaller than the circle we traced so the pots didn't fall through.
The pots fit perfectly. I painted the bench in "Heirloom" from Fusion Mineral Paint and distressed it with sandpaper.
I dry-brushed the pots with a light gray color. I filled the pots with flowers and water sealed the entire bench. Now, the ugly brown bench has come out from hiding in the garage and she looks beautiful now!
