Here are some ideas... also you could go to the dollar store and buy clear shower curtains and run a rod or pole and enclose it that way

We have a similar porch. I’m thinking of lightly enclosing it for this year so our teens can visit with friends - due to Covid. We’re planning to put up rods with heavy curtains (maybe painters canvases) and using a space or patio heater In there. Very simple and temporary.
How about plexiglass held on with clips, so they can be removed. You would be able to see out and keep the winds out
I agree that either hanging heavy curtains or plexiglass might work.
You could also consider adding some warm throws/blankets that can be used on the porch.

How to Enclose a Porch Cheaply

We are in the same position here, have a wonderful porch but really exposed to wind. We are leaning towards plexiglass that we can take down in summer.
Plexiglass or something of the sort could turn it into a green house or sun room or sort. Then you could take down the panels in the summer when you want to let the air in
I was thinking plexiglass but I’m having a hard time finding 13 by 14
My mother actually built something similar to window frames with a combination of plexiglass and heavy duty plastic depending on what direction they were facing. She had two rows, the top and bottom. I can't remember the length, but some of them were quite long, almost as long as doors. She actually framed them out like doors on the long pieces with a brace running diagonally. She would install them every year! The first set lasted about 10 years before she had to start replacing the plastic!
Home Depot has nice choices of plexiglass enclosures to accommodate your area ... There is some labor involved but for sure it will work
I agree with the above, plexiglass is a nice removable option
We enclosed our with supplies from Home Depot right off the shelf.
Plexiglass is nice along with a space heater like this one: https://amzn.to/3n8UYkm
Hope this Helps! Jeremy - https://do-daddy.com
Finding plexi in large sizes might be tough and certainly expensive. You might consider smaller pieces and framing them out like a series of windows. Swing by a Habitat ReStore, see what you can get creative with there.
Hello there,
You could use a timber frame and fix Heavy duty Polythene to it, or there is a Company in UK called Athena and they supply Clear Blinds that roll up for just this purpose. Maybe there is a Company in U.S too.
thickest clear plastic sold by yard 54" wide
I use clear viny tarps from yuma's bargain outlet. 14ml which withstands all the upstate ny winters. Carry all sizes and then used screws to fasten. I then got a mesh one for the summer. They come in different colors also.
