How can I make a deck off the ground without attaching it to my house?

I am trying to make a deck that I cam take down if we have too. I have a good area on the back of my house that has French doors going out side. Are there plans for such a thing? What do renters do?

I suppose it depends on the height you need.
You could raise flats by putting them on multiple supporting concrete pavers, and then cover with indoor/outdoor carpeting.
Or hinged plywood/weatherproofed/marine-painted panels.
Find someone selling a portable stage.

Have you thought to use Old Pallets and top each with new decking and Jig saw them together to make size and shape you want.
