How do build rail for deck?
We are building a deck and trying to decide how to build the railing around it and whether to even build it. Any suggestions. Money is tight so needs to be affordable and beautiful.

If your deck is low enough to the ground that code does not require a railing, you could use several simple built in or portable benches along the edge, with or without a back, to define the edge. Or even some planters placed along the edges-does not have to be continuous. I would say even if only 6-10 inches above ground level you want some way to denote there is an edge there.
