How do I build a backyard fountain?

I want to beautify my backyard by adding a fountain. I am attaching a photo.

Your initial steps are getting a sense of what you would like to have it look like when it is finished and then deciding on a budget. You have a lot of nice foliage behind where you want to place it. Perhaps a fountain in a jungle theme? or a rock waterfall largely surrounded by foliage? I notice from your picture that you have lots of right angles. You might want to have more of a curve which is naturally occurring rather than right angles. If you want a very formal fountain, then the garden stores sell pavers and sit a concrete fountain on those. Your house, Your decision.
