If there is a restore in your area, see if they have shutters in various sizes. Usually cheap, paint in any color theme you want. Place side by side, hook together with small metal brackets.

Plant hops along bottom of fence...in a couple of years will fill in and completely cover the fence

weave burlap in the fence old doors can block the view.

We have a lot of the wild bamboo....it is really easy to work with and you can weave them into the chain link fence.
