I would like to put polycarbonet or a clear roofing on my pergola ?

It is 10 feet wide and 12 feet long , I live in Michigan where we get cold weather and snow but I have purlins every 12 inches for support ? IDEAS

      Thank you so much what a GREAT article . Many things to think about with the coating uv etc. But cost efficient and the clear slatted roof is what I am going for Linda .

    Combating heavy snow is going to be the problem. There are radiant ceilings that you can install, but are pricey. You can do a test with just one panel and see how it handles the snow, or cover the entire thing and use a blower to get most of the snow off during the season. Good luck on whatever you decide.

      I has a fairly good pitch . The blower Idea is great it's a small space and my leaf blower doesn't get much use in the winter anyway . Still considering all the options . Thanks for the help
